General location information: |
Several Lakes (Names below), Louisiana HAB Area code(s): US-17 |
|
Additional location information: | Lake Salvador, Lac des Allemands, Lake Cataouatche. All are low salinity lakes in the upper part of the Barataria Basin.

Quarantine levels dates (yyyy/mm/dd):
Additional date-related information: | Species data below represent cell concentrations of HAB species from surface samples collected during routine sampling for the period Jan-Dec 2006 and were not associated with a particular bloom event. Species are reported at 10^5 cells/liter, with the exception of Prorocentrum spp. which are reported at 10^3 and Anabaena spp. which are reported at 10^6. Cell concentrations were averaged over seven stations in these lakes to generate an average concentration for each species on a single sample date. |
